A beach hut at the end of a hot day. Sun cream on your skin, a coconut cut open on the table, and a stick of palo santo smouldering by the door. Coconut and heliotrope open it, creamy and slightly almondy. The heart is Madagascar vanilla absolute. Vanilla comes from the seed pod of an orchid. In Madagascar the flowers are pollinated by hand, one at a time, and the pods are then cured for months until they turn dark and fragrant. The base adds more vanilla absolute, white musk, palo santo and lactones. Lactones are molecules that give coconut, peach and cream their soft, milky smell. Sweet and warm, best in summer.
How to use
Spray on pulse points: wrists, neck and behind the ears. Let it dry down; don't rub. Keep away from eyes.
