Picture rose petals drying on a warm windowsill next to a jar of saffron threads. Someone in the next room has lit a fire, and the smoke drifts through. The rose is the first thing you notice, then the saffron gives it a leathery, honeyed bite. Cypriol, sometimes called nagarmotha, comes from the root of a sedge grass grown in India. It smells smoky and earthy, a bit like damp wood, and it's why the heart of this one feels so dark. Labdanum adds a sticky, ambery weight. Vanilla shows up twice, once in the heart and again in the base, softening the patchouli and the woods so the end is warm.
How to use
Spray on pulse points: wrists, neck and behind the ears. Let it dry down; don't rub. Keep away from eyes.
